BitZeny started on November, 2014.
BitZeny was made as clone of Bitcoin by a Japanese developer,
aiming at becoming easy for anyone to develop and mine. Its currency unit is ZNY, and its issuance is limited to 250 million.

Optimized for mining by CPU

The greatest feature of BitZeny is that CPU mining can be done with a ordinary PC.
Since many cryptocurrencies are mined using GPUs and ASICs,
it is an oligopoly state by some miner who is able to invest in dedicated equipment.
BitZeny is using an algorithm called 'Yescrypt' that is hard to by with GPU and ASIC,
but suitable for mining by CPU.

Because of its easiness to mine and get for anyone, thanks to CPU mining,
its community flourish.
