VeloPure

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: August 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the VeloPure iPhone and Apple Watch applications (collectively, the “App”) handle information. VeloPure is provided by the developer identified as the seller on the App Store listing (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Privacy Summary

The current version of VeloPure has no user account, developer-operated server, cloud database, advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. We do not receive your ride history, precise routes, Health data, purchase payment details, or device contacts.

Ride data is processed primarily on your devices. Information is sent to Apple services only when needed for features you choose, such as maps, Apple Health, Watch synchronization, Live Activities, In-App Purchases, system sharing, or saving a video to Photos.

2. Information Processed by the App

Location and route information

When you start a ride and grant permission, the App processes precise location coordinates, timestamps, altitude, speed, and horizontal and vertical accuracy. Background location may continue while an active ride is running so the App can record a complete route.

Ride and fitness information

The App calculates and stores ride start and end times, active duration, distance, current and average speed, maximum speed, elevation gain, pause intervals, and route points. These values are used to display the dashboard, map, history, details, Live Activity, and exported route video.

Preferences

Settings such as whether the screen may automatically lock are stored locally using Apple system storage.

Purchase information

Apple processes payments through StoreKit. The App can receive product information and signed transaction or entitlement status needed to complete, verify, and restore a purchase. We do not receive your full payment-card number or Apple Account password.

Communications

If you choose “Contact Us,” your email application opens. We receive only the information you voluntarily include in the email. Your email provider processes that communication under its own terms.

3. How Information Is Used

4. Storage and Transfers

On-device storage

Ride summaries and route points are stored locally using SwiftData on the device where they are recorded. The App does not upload this local database to a server operated by us.

Apple Watch synchronization

Completed Watch rides may be encoded into a file and transferred through Apple WatchConnectivity to your paired iPhone. The iPhone imports the ride into its local database and avoids duplicate ride identifiers. This is a device-to-device Apple service, not developer cloud synchronization.

Apple Health

With your authorization, the App writes outdoor cycling workouts, cycling distance, workout metadata, pause and resume events, and route locations to HealthKit. The current version requests no HealthKit read types. Health information stored in Apple Health is controlled through Apple’s Health app and system settings.

Maps, Live Activities, Photos, and sharing

MapKit may communicate with Apple to provide map tiles and related map services. Live Activity data is managed by iOS. Exported videos remain in temporary local storage until shared or removed by the system; when you select a share destination or save to Photos, the selected Apple or third-party service receives the content at your direction.

5. Third Parties

The App relies on Apple frameworks and services, including Core Location, MapKit, SwiftData, HealthKit, WatchConnectivity, ActivityKit, StoreKit, Photos, and the system share sheet. Apple’s handling of information is governed by Apple’s policies. A third-party app receives information only when you deliberately select it from the system share sheet or otherwise direct a transfer.

6. Tracking, Advertising, and Analytics

VeloPure does not currently contain advertising, sell personal information, use data brokers, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or include a developer-operated analytics service.

7. Retention and Deletion

Local ride records remain until you delete a ride, erase the App’s data, or uninstall the App, subject to device backups and operating-system behavior. Deleting an iPhone record does not automatically delete a Watch copy, and deleting a Watch record does not automatically delete an iPhone copy. Records already written to Apple Health must be deleted separately in Apple Health.

8. Your Choices

9. Security

VeloPure relies on iOS, watchOS, app sandboxing, device access controls, HealthKit authorization, and StoreKit transaction verification. No storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode and keep its operating system current.

10. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly operate a service that collects children’s personal information on our servers because the current App has no developer-operated data server.

11. International Use and Legal Rights

Because ride data is stored locally and we do not operate a ride-data server, we do not transfer your ride database internationally. Apple services may process information according to Apple’s policies and your region. Applicable privacy law may provide additional rights that cannot be limited by this Policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Policy if data practices or App features change. The revised Policy will be included in the App with a new effective date. Material changes may also be highlighted in the App or release notes where appropriate.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact support@pureride.app. Because we do not maintain user accounts or a ride-data server, we generally cannot access or remotely delete data stored only on your device.
