Privacy Policy
TextReel is designed to process your creative content locally. We do not operate an account system or advertising network, and the current version does not upload your project text, narration audio, or exported videos to a TextReel server.
1. Information You Create
Text you enter, generated scenes, template choices, font choices, background settings, narration settings, and project metadata are stored locally on your device so you can reopen and edit projects. Exported videos are rendered locally.
2. Narration and Audio
Optional narration is generated with Apple system speech services. TextReel uses the resulting audio to synchronize animation and assemble your video. The app does not upload your text, voice characteristics, or generated narration to a TextReel server. Temporary audio and video files are removed when processing completes, fails, or is cancelled, except for an output file retained temporarily for sharing.
3. Photos Access
When you export, TextReel may request add-only access to your photo library so it can save the finished video. The app does not need permission to browse your photo library for this purpose. You can deny or change this permission in iOS Settings and still use the system share sheet for a generated file.
4. Purchases
TextReel Pro purchases are processed by Apple. TextReel receives StoreKit transaction status, product identifier, entitlement status, and expiration or revocation information needed to unlock features. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Apple processes purchase information under Apple’s own privacy terms.
5. Local Diagnostics and Analytics
The current version creates a random anonymous identifier stored on your device and writes limited product events to the Apple unified logging system for local diagnostics. Event properties are designed not to include full project text, local file paths, recordings, or generated audio. TextReel does not currently transmit these analytics events to a TextReel analytics server.
If you choose to share diagnostics with Apple, Apple may provide crash or performance information under Apple’s policies. We are not responsible for information Apple collects independently.
6. Information We Do Not Use
TextReel does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell personal information, and does not track you across apps or websites for advertising. The current version does not request contacts, precise location, microphone, or full photo-library access.
7. Retention and Deletion
Projects remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app and its data. You can delete individual projects from the recent-project list. You can remove exported videos from Photos using the Photos app. Deleting the app generally removes its locally stored projects, subject to iOS backup and restoration behavior controlled by Apple.
8. Sharing
We do not share your project content with third parties. Information may be processed by Apple when you use StoreKit, system speech, Photos, app distribution, crash reporting, or other Apple platform services. If you intentionally share an exported video through the system share sheet, the destination you choose processes it under that destination’s terms.
9. Security
We use iOS platform protections and limit processing to what is needed for app functionality. No storage method is completely secure, so you should protect your device with a passcode and keep iOS updated.
10. Children
TextReel is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the current version does not operate a user account or content server, project content remains under the device owner’s control.
11. International Use
Your locally stored content remains on your device unless you choose an Apple or third-party feature that transfers it. Rights may differ by region. You may contact us to ask about the practices described here.
12. Policy Changes
We may update this Policy when features or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Before adding cloud analytics or cloud AI processing, this Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures should be updated.
