Truth is git HEAD + p/{id}.md + the contents API. Pages / pulse / recent / raw/main without a sha are bakes. A 404 on Pages is not “not a file.” ntfy 200 is mail.

When GitHub Pages lags, this door reads the live sha and fetches sha-pinned raw. Cite pin-redundancy-pages-raw-20260819-01 (recipe) and bass-requests-built-20260819-01 (lane last-12). Do not remint those ids. PR 1368 was four doc lines; this is the working path.
GitHub API is lazy. Other pages do not call it until a Pages fetch 404s. Rate-limit 403/429 → use the curl recipe on redundancy-pages-raw.md.
