- Age confirmation – We verify you are 9 or older (we do not store your exact birth date)
- Fitness preferences – Fitness level, goals, workout frequency preferences
- Hamster name – The name you give your virtual pet

As you use the App, we collect:
- Workout completions – Which exercises you complete and when
- Exercise journal entries – Weights, reps, sets, and notes you log
- Points and streaks – Your earned points and streak progress
- Shop purchases – Virtual items purchased with in-app points
- Workout feedback – Your ratings of workouts (loved/liked/not for me)
2.4 Technical Information
We automatically collect:
- Device type and OS version – To ensure app compatibility
- App version – To provide appropriate features and support
- Crash reports – To identify and fix bugs (no personal data included)

- Local storage: Some data is cached locally on your device using encrypted storage (expo-secure-store)

- Local data is encrypted using your device's secure storage
- Firebase credentials are secured via environment variables
- Sensitive data (passwords, tokens) are never logged or stored in plain text

6.2 Update Your Data
You can edit your profile, fitness preferences, and hamster name in the App's Settings.
6.3 Delete Your Data
You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion:
- Your account will be permanently removed
- All workout history, journal entries, and progress will be deleted
- This action cannot be undone
6.4 Data Portability
You can request a copy of your data by contacting us. We will provide your data in a machine-readable format within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
Muscle Hamster is intended for users aged 9 and older. We implement an age gate during sign-up to verify this.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 9
- If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 9, we will delete it immediately
- If you believe a child under 9 has provided us with personal information, please contact us
8. Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active
- Deleted accounts: Data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Backups: Backups are automatically purged after 90 days
